Day 7: Good Citizens TAKE A VACATION
This is not a goodbye but a “see you soon”
Camp Rosenbaum in a Bag is just that: a backpack filled with camp activities for home. The backpack includes an activity schedule and fun things to bring a bit of Camp to the kids. Backpacks include foam footballs, books, journals, arts & crafts activities, science experiments and more. They also include a basic personal care kit and educational activities from our partnering first responder agencies.
Backpacks will be delivered this month to children, ages 9-12, who live in low-income housing in Oregon and SW Washington. We need your help to get backpacks to our community! For just $40, you can sponsor a backpack for a low-income child in our community. To sponsor backpacks or make a donation, please click here.
Camp Rosenbaum began in 1970 with a dream: take a group of youth from low-income families and spend a week with them at Oregon’s beautiful coast, teaching them the value of good citizenship and encouraging their self-confidence. With our partners – Oregon National Guard, Portland Police Bureau and Home Forward – we provide kids with positive role models, healthy relationships with public safety figures and maybe most importantly, fun!
We want to keep General Rosenbaum’s dream alive. Please help us reach our initial goal of 1,000 bags for low-income children in our community and make a tax deductible donation today!
If you have questions or would like to make an in-kind donation, please contact Crystal Kroeller: 503-318-7923 or crystal@camprosenbaum.org.
