You are invited to join us at Camp Rosenbaum as our Very Important Guests (VIG’s) Day! Every year, we open our doors and welcome guests to see Camp Rosenbaum in action. Our VIG Day & Dinner is reserved for notable donors, partners, and supporters, as an opportunity to see Camp Rosenbaum in action. You’ll get a chance to meet other supporters, board members, and Camp staff, take a tour of the camp, and see what a difference your support makes in the lives of our campers!

For our Open House event, we welcome guests who cannot make it to the VIG Day events to see Camp Rosenbaum in action. You’ll join our campers and staff for a half day of activities and see how Camp Rosenbaum makes a difference in the lives of our campers. 

For 55 years, Camp Rosenbaum has offered a unique experience to children from low-income families, ages 9-11, in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Over the years, thousands of children have attended this rewarding citizenship camp, which is led by the extraordinary partnership between the Oregon National Guard, Portland Police Bureau, and Home Forward.

Camp Rosenbaum teaches useful life skills to help children attain their goals and reach personal success. We empower children to take responsibility for their lives, emphasizing the importance of staying in school, making good choices, avoiding gangs and drugs, and learning the power of good character traits. All of this happens in the midst of non-stop fun and adventure, alongside inspiring staff and counselors who create a caring and safe environment.
