You are invited to join us at Camp Rosenbaum on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 for our Open House Event.
For 48 years, Camp Rosenbaum has offered a unique experience to low-income children, ages 9-11, from Oregon and Southwest Washington. Over the years, thousands of children have attended this rewarding citizenship camp which is led by the extraordinary partnership between the Oregon National Guard, Portland Police Bureau and Home Forward.
Camp Rosenbaum teaches useful life skills to help children attain their goals and reach personal success. We empower children to take responsibility for their lives, emphasize the importance of staying in school, making good choices, avoiding gangs and drugs, and learning how to become good citizens. All of this happens in the midst of non-stop fun and adventure, alongside inspiring staff and counselors who create a caring and safe environment. We’ve heard many success stories over the years of children who were positively influenced by Camp Rosenbaum and its staff.
Location: Camp Rilea, 33168 Patriot Way, Warrenton, OR 97146
Open House Event: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Arrival time: Check-in on Wednesday at 8:00 AM at the Camp Rosenbaum Clubhouse
Schedule of Events:
Clubhouse: 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Join us on Wednesday morning at the Clubhouse. You’ll see how we start each and every day: as a family, before we send our campers off to a day full of activities.
Camp Tour: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
This is your opportunity to see a day in the life of a camper. You’ll get a guided tour to the various activities happening around camp: arts & crafts, science lab, cardboard hill, fishing, Fire Dawg Challenge and so much more! This is the best way to see what Camp Rosenbaum offers our campers, to meet some of our amazing staff, and to watch the kids learning and having fun.
Lunch with campers: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Join the kids at campsite for lunch! Campsite is a highlight for many of our campers, where they eat a classic campsite lunch, ride horses and make their way through our nature hike. Please indicate if you’ll be joining campers for lunch when you register online, so we’ve got a proper head count for food.
