Strategically woven into all the fun at camp is a curriculum that focuses on building self-esteem and instilling the values of good citizenship. A citizenship theme is presented at each morning assembly (good citizens work together, share, are fair to others, care about others, and are loyal). The kids are encouraged to practice each theme during the week through their activities, skits and personal actions. Teamwork is also strongly emphasized through “cabin” competitions and sporting events. Both individual and team efforts are rewarded daily through special recognition and blue ribbons.

Camp Rosenbaum’s educational centerpiece is our anti-drug and gang resistance program. The children attend GREAT (Gang Resistance Education and Training) classes taught by nationally recognized instructors. Counselors and staff serve as both teachers and role models to reinforce our daily messages.
